How Does Plug & Play Work? [Byte Size] | Nostalgia Nerd

Plug & Play (PnP) was a standard introduced in the early 90s to help allocate computer resources more effectively. The past had relied on DIP switches, manual software configuration and even hard soldering to achieve this. Plug & Play, especially with the Dawn of Windows 95, sought to solve this issue.
