Born Zara Mohamed Abdulmajid. Iman is a Somali fashion supermodel and 80s runway Superstar. A former muse of designers Gianni Versace, Halston, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan and Yves Saint Laurent. She was a favourite of Yves Saint-Laurent, who once described her as his "dream woman". With her long neck, tall stature, slender figure, fine features, copper-toned skin, and exotic accent, Iman was an instant success in the fashion world, though she herself insists that her looks are merely or typically Somali.
