Demonstration of Nautilus Tube Cajons by Andy Skellenger

This video is to demonstrate the sound of the Nautilus Tube Cajons. They are for sale at nautiluscajons.com. These cajons, similar to bongos, congas, or wood blocks, can be played with your hands or with marimba mallets. The heads are, from biggest to smallest, 10", 8 1/2", 6 1/2", and 5" and they are about 22" tall. They are meant to be played from a sitting position. Nautilus Cajons are hand crafted with utmost attention given to detail and quality workmanship. My goal is to create the best sounding, most attractive, durable cajons available for less than the big corporations. I have endeavored to create a line of cajons that offers the tonal qualities sought after in a wide variety of musical styles so that any player, traditional or contemporary, can find a cajon to suit their needs and inspire their art. Each Nautilus Cajon is a unique hand crafted drum with each piece of wood carefully selected for its particular beauty. I use high quality, high strength plywood and the strongest non toxic wood glue. Joints are mitered for superior strength and seamless appearance.
