Japan trip: Kyoto, Nara, and Osaka

Come explore the Kansai region with us as we tour three of Japan's most popular destinations. From sampling plenty of matcha treats and experiencing a traditional Japanese multiple-course style kaiseki meal in Kyoto to being surrounded by wild deer in Nara to strolling through Osaka's lively Dontonburi street at night, we managed to cover quite a bit in just four days. November is an ideal month to visit the area, as one can enjoy the beautiful fall foliage. Since we are university students on a tight budget, we made sure to save money by taking the overnight bus to and from Kansai. On the way back, I literally went straight from the bus station to class! The hostel we stayed at, Bola Bola, was very reasonable in price as well - not to mention comfortable, clean, and cozy.
