Left-wing academics will 'deconstruct every institution' in Australia 'except university'

Prominent academics want to "deconstruct every institution in this country except university," according to the IPA's Dr Bella d'Abrera.

This comes after a senior lecturer at the University of Melbourne, Dr Melitta Hogarth calling for the subject ‘English’ to be renamed because it “asserts” the “besieged sovereignty of the colonial state”.

"That really annoys me too that the hypocrisy of someone like this academic who is the Assistant Dean at the University of Melbourne, who would be on a significant amount of taxpayer money to give talks in English – in a language she says is oppressive and not see the hypocrisy of her situation," Ms d'Abrera said.

"And this is so common across the board because ... they've got nothing to lose."
