Albanese rocks out at Yes campaign concert in Sydney
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese attended a music gig in his electorate on Thursday where he promoted a Yes vote in the upcoming Voice to Parliament referendum.
The Prime Minister joined Australian rock ‘n’ roll band the Hoodoo Gurus at the Factory Theatre in Marrickville for an evening of music and discussion.
Yes23 co-chair Rachel Perkins and journalist Ray Martin took centre stage with Mr Albanese where they discussed the Indigenous Voice with locals.
Mr Albanese told the audience the referendum is a moment where Australia can either be enlarged or “shrink in” on itself.
“Fear is a powerful emotion, but no country was ever made greater or advanced on fear,” he said.
“Countries go greater when they have hope and optimism.”
