White nights in St. Petersburg last from the middle of June to the middle of July. At the end of August after 9 pm it's already dark. But, the night illumination makes the city romantic. And there's nothing better than walking leisurely along the canals, warming up coffee or hot chocolate and listening to street musicians on Nevsky Prospekt. It is necessary to visit "Spit of Vasilievsky Iceland" and admire the illumination of the bridges and the whole central part of the city.
