Hands On: Nike SB Dunk Low "Grateful Dead"

Today I’m reviewing and taking a first look at the upcoming Nike SB Dunk Low “Grateful Dead”. Inspired by the legendary band, the Nike SB Dunk Low “Grateful Dead” reimagines the famous marching bears in sneaker form and takes the story of the band to a new level. Created in part by Oswell “Bear” Stanley, The Grateful Dead Marching Bears are a big part of the band’s subculture and deadhead community. First spotted on the reverse of the group’s 1973 LP "History of the Grateful Dead, Volume 1 (Bear’s Choice), the Nike SB Dunk Low “Grateful Dead” takes the Marching Bears quite literally with the materials on the shoe like the suede and bear fur. Set to retail for $110, the Nike SB Dunk Low “Grateful Dead” will arrive on July 18 at FTC in the Orange colorway.
