Rejected Takeoff and Evacuation!

In our A320 simulator we demonstrate the actions and typical calls for a rejected takeoff in the event of an engine fire as we attempt to depart Manchester, EGCC from 23R. Our Airbus simulator can replicate a range of engine malfunctions from high vibrations, low oil pressures all the way through to shutdowns, extinguishable and non-extinguishable fires.

Trivia:
- When the EVAC COMMAND pb is pressed it silences the horn in the flightdeck only. The beeping can still be heard through the flight deck door from the cabin.

Interesting Stuff / Further Reading:
- During the emergency evacuation checklist engine agent 2 is not available as only bottle 1 remains available on battery power. The generators are lost as the engines masters are switched off and engine and APU fire pushbuttons pushed.

- During the emergency evacuation checklist the cabin differential pressure is referenced:
ΔP (only if MAN CAB PR has been used)..............CHECK ZERO. As dispatch without an operative cabin pressure controller is not authorised (unless perhaps for an unpressurised test/ferry flight), manual cabin pressure control is unlikely to have been used prior to a rejected takeoff.
