best asian restaurants in paris | Where to eat in Paris

SEPTEMBER 2020 | Although Paris has some of the best fine dining and French cuisine, their asian food scene is also incredible. The asian food is actually what I look forward to the most. With a mix of authentic and fusion restaurants, I have collated my favourite asian restaurants I have come across throughout the years with my sister.

I have listed out below all the restaurants I have included in this video:
1. Gangnam (Located in Rue de Belleville) - A Korean BBQ restaurant.
Unlike Melbourne, Paris does not have that many Korean BBQ restaurants. Although it appeared to be a Chinese-run restaurant, we found it to be very authentic Korean food.

2. Sanukiya (Located in Rue D'Argenteuil) - A Japanese Udon restaurant
I come to this restaurant every time I come to Paris, and genuinely think that this is the best Udon noodles I have ever had (and I have been to Japan twice and have a half Japanese boyfriend). It is a michelin-recommended restaurant and you HAVE to get the duck udon.

3. Jixiao's Buns (Located in Quai des Grands Augustins) - A Chinese bun and noodle restaurant
My sister discovered this traditional Chinese restaurant opposite the Notre Dame. They served traditional Chinese pork buns, where you had to slurp the soup through a straw. The noodles were delicious. Overall a cheap, cheerful and authentic Chinese restaurant in a very good location.

4. Shiso Burger (Located in Quai Saint-Michel) - A Korean-fusion burger restaurant
My sister's German friend recommended this restaurant, as Shiso Burger also has a restaurant in Berlin. It is the first time I have had a bulgogi burger and it was absolutely delicious. One of the best asian burgers I have ever had. You also must get the twisted fries, which gave me flashbacks of walking down the streets of Seoul, where twisted fries is a common street food.

5. Dosanko Larmen (Located in Rue Sainte-Anne) - A Japanese ramen restaurant
We discovered this restaurant accidentally as the original ramen restaurant we tried to go to had a line that wrapped around the corner. I am so glad we decided to go here instead, as their spicy miso ramen was the perfect level of spice (that I had been craving since I left Melbourne). One of the best ramens I have had so far in Paris.

6. Hero (Located in Rue Saint-Denis) - A Korean fried chicken restaurant
Another restaurant that I go to every time I come to Paris (we even brought our parents here, who loved it). Their Korean fried chicken is amazing, but my favourite is their spicy rice cakes, which they make with shiitake mushrooms. A must-visit restaurant if you want some Korean food in Paris.

7. Hakata Choten (Located in Rue des Petits Champs) - A Japanese ramen restaurant
Hakata Choten is one of the busiest and most popular ramen restaurants in Paris. There is always a big line to get a seat so you should come early if you want to avoid a long wait time. They are known for their gyozas, which were pretty good. Their ramen was also quite yum, although not my favourite ramen I have had in Paris.
