Buying your first rifle
Buying your first rifle is something you’ll remember for the rest of your life. SSAA TV’s Rod Pascoe looks at some of the factors to consider when buying your first rifle, including the desired action type, calibre, barrel length, weight and stock fit and whether its intended purpose is for target shooting, recreational hunting or both. Australian Shooter senior correspondent and lifetime hunter John Dunn then offers some tips for selecting a hunting rifle, including deciding what game you will be hunting, the terrain you’ll be hunting over and your general hunting style.
