SWALLOWS AND APPLE BLOSSOM Watercolor Art Tutorial - Easy Step by Step Line and Wash Painting Lesson

This is a cute pen and wash drawing of three baby swallows on a branch of apple blossom. In this tutorial I demonstrate how I prepare for a painting using reference material, a preliminary sketch and colour selection. Then I show you in realtime how I create this line and wash painting using a Staedtler pigment liner for the drawing and five colours of watercolour paint for the colour washes. An ideal project for those who are new to watercolour but already enjoy drawing, and anyone who is interested in painting birds in watercolour.
