The film is a sequel to the 2003 science fiction film Koi... Mil Gaya.

The story follows Krishna "Krrish" Mehra (Hrithik Roshan), who has inherited the superhuman abilities of his father, Rohit Mehra. Living in a remote village with his grandmother Sonia (Rekha) to keep his powers secret, Krishna meets and falls in love with Priya (Priyanka Chopra), a young woman who comes to the village for a camping trip. When Priya returns to Singapore, Krishna follows her and, due to unforeseen circumstances, adopts the superhero persona of "Krrish" to save children trapped in a circus fire.

In Singapore, Krishna works at a circus and tries to keep his identity as Krrish a secret. However, he soon learns about the evil scientist Dr. Siddhant Arya (Naseeruddin Shah), who is developing a supercomputer to predict the future for his nefarious plans. Dr. Arya was also involved in the mysterious death of Krishna's father, Rohit (also played by Hrithik Roshan in flashbacks). As Krrish, Krishna must thwart Dr. Arya's plans and avenge his father's death while protecting his identity and his loved ones.

The film blends elements of romance, action, and science fiction, marking a significant step in Indian cinema's foray into the superhero genre. It features impressive action sequences choreographed by Tony Ching Siu-Tung and special effects that were considered groundbreaking for Bollywood at the time. The music, composed by Rajesh Roshan with a background score by Salim-Sulaiman, was also a major highlight.

Krrish was a critical and commercial success, becoming one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2006. It was praised for Hrithik Roshan's performance, the action sequences, and the special effects. The film won several awards, including National Film Award for Best Special Effects and Filmfare Awards for Best Action and Best Background Score.
