Land Rover Discovery 130 Bodywork Restoration

Join us as we take you on our journey to find out what you get from a top autobody shop. Instead of trying to answer the question ourselves, we took the opportunity to spend 3 weeks filming with the team at Norwest Classic Custom in Letterkenny, County Donegal. We wish to thank Norton Abrasives UK, Glasurit paints, Wurth Ireland, Longranger 4x4 & Norton Classic Custom for sponsoring this video by donating their products and their time. Without all of your help, this project would not be where it is.

At the start of the video you can see the Red Lady being vapour blasted by FMK Vapour Blasting. We will be uploading a full video of that process shortly, so subscribe and hit the notification bell to make sure you do not miss it.

The paint is from Glasurit, it's their 68 line CV paint in 590 Monza Red. This is the original colour and it is Glasurit who supply the paint to the Land Rover production line. 68 Line was not used in the factory, this is top-shelf gear.

Wurth Ireland supplied us with their Bond + Seal, Bond + Seal POWER and Seal/Fix.

Big thanks to Clint at Longranger 4x4 for supplying us with his amazing Discovery single cab kit.

Thanks to everyone at Norwest Custom Classic for putting in so many hard hours and love into our project. Over the past 3 weeks, it was an absolute pleasure to get to know you all and to see the younger generation being shown the ropes. To James, well what can we say, your generosity and vision when we approached you was very refreshing. We are so proud to have been able to spend time with your team and we hope this video will show others just how much hard graft, skill, and dedication that your boys put into restoring classics.

The beautiful wheels are 16x10 Spectre (James Bond) wheels from Weller Wheels and they come with a faux beadlock meaning its 100% road legal. Big thanks to Rhys for sorting them out.

Another special mention to our very first sponsor, BF Goodrich, who supplied the 305/70/16 KM3 tyres. They look amazing, especially with the Signature Edition coloured letters from the USA.

The lighting pods you see here being painted red are from Bolt On Bits. We got them with the RDX Lights, which will bring the lighting into this century.
