Greg Alba & Aaron Alexander react to and review Invincible Season 4, Episode 4 — “Hurm”, diving into one of the wildest and most supernatural entries of the series yet. This episode shifts the action into the chaotic Underworld, expanding the scope of the show while continuing to build toward the looming Viltrumite war.

Mark Grayson / Invincible (Steven Yeun — The Walking Dead, Minari) finds himself pulled into a demonic conflict when Damien Darkblood (Clancy Brown — The Shawshank Redemption, Star Wars Rebels) resurfaces amid growing instability in the Underworld. As a powerful new threat, Volcania, begins to disrupt the balance of power, Darkblood attempts a summoning ritual meant to call Omni-Man—but instead brings Mark into the fray. Despite the unexpected arrival, Mark rises to the challenge, teaming up with Darkblood to recover Satan’s crown and restore order.
The episode delivers a mix of intense action and dark humor, including the bizarre return of Ka-Hor, whose latest situation leads to one of the strangest (and funniest) twists in the series. Meanwhile, the larger narrative takes a major leap forward as Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons — Whiplash, Spider-Man) and Allen the Alien (Seth Rogen — Superbad, Knocked Up) arrive on Earth with urgent news: war with the Viltrumites is coming, and Mark is needed. The timing couldn’t be more complicated, as this revelation collides with a deeply personal moment involving Atom Eve (Gillian Jacobs — Community, Love).
Blending supernatural chaos, returning fan-favorite characters, and major story progression, “Hurm” delivers both wild spectacle and crucial setup for what’s shaping up to be the biggest conflict in Invincible yet.
