This week, we’re exploring the stunning West Coast of the Yorke Peninsula.

We set up camp at the peaceful Len Barker Bush Camp, where we spend six nights soaking in the beauty of the area, including a relaxing and camera-free Christmas Day. It’s a nice break from the usual hustle and bustle, allowing us to enjoy some downtime in the great outdoors.

While we were hoping for better luck with fishing and crabbing, the results were a bit slower than expected. We did manage to catch a few crabs, but the elusive Whiting continue to stay out of reach. It’s all part of the adventure, though, and we keep pushing forward.

After a few days of exploration, we decide to drive down to the southern end of the Yorke Peninsula, and we stumble upon a spot we wish we’d known about from the start. The Point Turton area has received plenty of attention from YouTubers and influencers, and while it’s certainly been hyped up, we feel that the southwest corner offers a much more rewarding experience. The scenery, the fishing, and the overall vibe here just can’t be beaten.
