IDF release intercepted audio of Hamas' misfire admission following Gaza hospital attack
The Israeli Defense Force has released intercepted audio of what it claims is an admission from Hamas that the Gaza hospital strike was carried out from within Gaza.
The IDF says the audio shows an interaction between two Hamas operatives discussing the strike, suggesting the missile was launched from an area behind Al-Ahli Hospital by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Israel and Hamas have both exchanged blame for the explosion.
The strike on the al-Ahli Arab Baptist Hospital in Gaza is believed to have killed 471 people.
This has pushed the Palestinian death toll up to almost 3,500.
