Fixing a Leaky Faucet: Bathroom Sink Cartridge Replacement

Fixing a leaking faucet is not that hard to do with a few tools and a trip to the hardware store. The faucet I'm fixing is a builders grade, Glacier Bay product from Home Depot circa 2003. The new replacement cartridge cost about $7. The original faucet only cost about $30 when purchased almost 20 years ago. New similar models still only cost about $30.

It is easier to replace the cartridge vs the entire faucet assembly. But you could also argue why not replace the entire faucet for only $30... then everything is shiny and new and hopefully drip-free for another 15+ years... maybe we will cover that in an upcoming video!

NOTE: To help with a little easier removal of hard water incrusted cartridges you can spray white vinegar on the lime build up area and wrap it tightly in plastic for several hours or overnight to help break up the lime deposits.
