Flamma Innovation's FC-series mini pedals are a great set of uniquely-voiced pedals that pack a lot of variety and tone into a small package.

The FC20 Brit Distortion is a British-style crunchy distortion with a gain sweep and single tone control that ranges in tone from something like a Vox to something like an Orange type distortion. It's warm and punchy and great for pushing a classic clean, like this Fender Twin plugin from ML Sound Lab, into something more snarly and aggressive.

The FC19 Black Distortion is basically two flavors of RAT distortion that swings from kind of dirty to an out-of-control borderline fuzz tone. Not a crisp metal or high-gain sound, but if you're looking for a solid and compact RAT tone in both the classic and modern configurations, this is a great option. The tone control here is a high/low pass filter.

Both great pedals for under $50, and ideal for building out a nice portable rig.
