Episode Notes:
1. Game captured via the Mega SG(Japan version).
2. Press Up, Down, Left, Right at the title screen. Wait for the "ding" and then press A and Start for a level select.
3. I did like Sonic 2 and 3 more in terms of level design and enemies.
4. My favorite 16-bit Sonic was Sonic CD. By a mile. The stage design rewarded exploration and I rarely felt trapped or slowed down to the point of tedium.
5. The Japanese version actually came out a bit later than the US and European versions. It has additional effects like extra parallax scrolling and water ripple effects.
