LAND ROVER DEFENDER IN WETLANDS

Hello again! Last weekend we went to Deltebre, some wetlands in the South of Catalonia. If you are a birdwatcher or appreciate nature, this is the place to come. It's a 2 hour drive south from Barcelona, on the Mediterranean coast. Ebro's Delta is one of the most famous river deltas in Europe. It's a wetland location that contains 320 square km of Natural Park. There are over 300 species of birds that are either resident or migratory to the Ebro Delta. It has wild long beaches with large dune fields and extensive rice fields. The different varieties of rice which is grown in Deltebre is very much appreciated in Spain and has Denomination of Origin. The best time to visit this amazing spot is autumn until December, when the rice has been harvested and the fields are filled with migrating birds. The best time to watch the birds are at dawn and dusk because that's when they forage for food. We were amazed to see the flamingos feeding and hear their calls, which is what you can see at the end of the video.
This is the first of two videos that we filmed in 4K in these lands. The second one is a 4WD track that we recorded and we will upload it in wikiloc, when we edit the video. As always we will leave you the wikiloc track in the description when we post this second 4WD video.

¡Hola de nuevo! El fin de semana pasado fuimos a Deltebre, un parque nacional del sur de Cataluña. Si eres un observador de aves o aprecias la naturaleza, este es el lugar para venir. Está a 2 horas en coche al sur de Barcelona, ​​en la costa mediterránea. El Delta del Ebro es uno de los deltas fluviales más famosos de Europa. Es un lugar que contiene 320 km cuadrados de Parque Natural. Hay más de 300 especies de aves residentes o migratorias en el Delta del Ebro. Tiene extensas playas salvajes con grandes campos de dunas y extensos arrozales. Las diferentes variedades de arroz que se cultivan en Deltebre son muy apreciadas en España y tienen Denominación de Origen. La mejor época para visitar este increíble lugar es el otoño hasta diciembre, cuando se ha cosechado el arroz y los campos se llenan de aves migratorias. El mejor momento para observar a las aves es al amanecer y al anochecer porque es cuando buscan comida. Hay varios observatorios para ver las aves. Nos encantó ver a los flamencos alimentarse y escuchar sus llamadas, que es lo que se puede ver al final del vídeo.
