India won safe passage for two LPG tankers, Shivalik and Nanda Devi, through the Strait of Hormuz on March 13 and 14 after Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke directly with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. The vessels, each carrying around 92,000 metric tons, are heading to Mundra and Kandla ports to ease domestic shortages, with the Indian Navy providing escort. This diplomatic success highlights India's multi-aligned approach, balancing ties with Iran, the U.S., Russia, and others while pushing for clearances for 22 more stranded ships.

India have 23 gas tankers stuck in the Persian Gulf.
