I'd call this an Epic fail...unsafe electrical work.
I was in the Phoenix Valley area helping out my folks and I had the opportunity to help out some skoolie folks, too. This delightful family of 4 is living in this conversion they had done by a professional builder...Epic Skoolies in Washington. After smelling burning electrical components and dealing with smoke from an electrical meltdown, they reached out for help.
Here are good examples of how you DON'T crimp terminals onto cables. And this is also a good example of why you NEED a battery disconnect. This could have turned into a fire in short order...
There was also a great example of how you should not interconnect your starter and house batteries...but that's for another video, coming soon.
