I've loved Maltese dogs since I was a child—they're just so adorable. After raising A-Rod and Bailey for the past 14 years, I've experienced challenges like tear stains and a close call when A-Rod almost passed away after a vaccination. These three issues I discuss in the video are what I believe are most important for anyone considering a Maltese.
I’ve had friends whose Maltese tragically passed away after being attacked by a larger dog, and others who, after seeing how cute our dogs are, got one themselves only to give it up later. I truly believe that before getting any dog, it’s essential to fully understand the breed. Every dog has a different personality, and you should never adopt one just because it looks cute. Owning a dog is a responsibility—they are living beings, not objects, and should never be abandoned.
