Hesed Meeting with Ptr Pandey of Promise Church Discipleship and Church Planting Ministries of Nepal

This was a Hesed ForThe Nations "Hesed Conenct" meeting featuring Pastor Lisset Melendez (Dayen) and special guest, the honorable Pastor Paul Padney, founder and director of Promise Church Discipleship and Church Planting Ministries in Nepal, who shared details about his ministry.

Pastor Paul described how he began ministry 34 years ago after escaping the forced labor system as a child and escaping to India to become a yogi before becoming a Christian. Pator Padney shared how as a new Christian he had to walk for days from his home in order to get to his ministry assignment and explained his current work - which includes 38 churches planted across 38 of 72 districts in Nepal - including remote areas in the Himalayas.

HIs ministry also includes a faith school serving 270 children (101 of whom are orphaned or homeless), as well as a Bible Disciple School, a One-Year Apostle School and continuous efforts to plant a church in all 72 districts in Nepal.

The discussion covered mission opportunities for volunteers to teach languages at the faith school (with 3-month tourist visas allowing multiple teachers to rotate in), evangelism and church planting in remote districts, and support for the one-year apostle school program that trains and certifies graduates as church planters.

Pastor Lisset Melendez (Dayen) shared information about the idea of creating a documentary to showcase the ministry's work, while also explaining how donations can be made to support various aspects of the Nepal mission work.
