MALLORCA WORLD FOLK FESTIVAL - LYKION TON ELLINIDON OF LARISSA - GRECIA

Fundat el 1979, el grup de ball del Club de Dones Gregues de Larissa ha estat una de les ànimes de l’associació i ha dinamitzat la investigació i el ressorgiment de les danses i la música, així com la recuperació de la indumentària tradicional grega. El grup de ball
i música és un dels de més anomenada a Grècia i ha actuat arreu d’Europa, Amèrica
i Àsia. Ha fet espectacles per a la televisió francesa, italiana i nord-americana. Entre d’altres, té reconeixements internacionals, com la Medalla d’Or (1988), el de millor indumentària i coreografia (2011) del Festival d’Agrigento, Itàlia. Syrtos, kalamantinos, pyrrhichios o hasapikos són algunes de les danses incloses en el repertori.
Lykion Ton Ellinidon of Larissa Founded in 1979, the Lyceum Club of Greek Women of Larissa has been researching for 40 years with the aim of preserving and promoting Greek cultural heritage, from folk dances and songs to Greek garments and traditions. They are an internationally acclaimed folk group and they might be one of the most reputed in Greece. They have performed all around Europe, America and Asia and have played in TV shows from French, Italian and USA channels. They have been awarded with the Gold Medal (1988) and custom and choreography prizes (2011) at the Agrigento Festival, Italy. Syrtos, kalamantinos
pyrrhichios and hasapikos are some dances from their repertory.
