Jonesboro Police K9 Gabo didn't hesitate when he was needed to bring to an end an hours-long standoff with an armed suspect, but his devotion to his job left him fighting for his life after being shot five times. What could have been a tragedy wound up a miracle, as Gabo walked away from the shooting, thanks to his bulletproof vest, which was provided by nonprofit Vested Interest in K9s.
