Pakistan Minister Warns of Possible Indian Military Strike Within Next 24 to 36 Hours

Pakistan’s information minister says Islamabad has “credible intelligence” that India plans to launch a military strike within 24 to 36 hours, amid rising tensions after a deadly attack in Indian-administered Kashmir.

▪️In a social media post early Wednesday, Attaullah Tarar accused India of using last week’s deadly attack in Pahalgam, which killed 26 tourists, as a “false pretext” for a possible strike on Pakistan.
▪️The minister offered no specific evidence to support his claim, and the Indian government has yet to issue a public response.
▪️“Any act of aggression will be met with a decisive response. India will be fully responsible for any serious consequences in the region,” Tarar said in the post on X.
▪️Pakistani Defence Minister Khawaja Asif told Reuters that an Indian military incursion is “imminent.” He said Islamabad is on high alert and would only consider nuclear weapons if its existence is directly threatened.
