two diesel engines, dual shaft, 2 screws,
built & launched 1979,
date sunk June 7th 1980 - 1.500 m from the shore,
position: N 34°53.5’ E 33°39.1’,
length 172m, width 23m,
min depth 17m, max depth 42m outside,
£200 million worth of cargo: 104 tractor-trailers & 1 car belonging to the captain, there were no casualties in the disaster,
cause of sinking:
loss of control of computerized ballast control system
