When Count Olaf becomes your guardian, danger is always on the timetable. In this suspenseful scene from Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, the evil "Uncle" Olaf (Jim Carrey) pretends to take the Baudelaire orphans on a nice drive. His real plan is far more sinister.

He tricks them into a large, locked car and parks it perfectly on a set of active train tracks, leaving them to face an oncoming locomotive. But Olaf underestimates the Baudelaire brains. While Klaus searches for an escape, baby Sunny uses her sharp teeth to chew through the seatbelt straps.

Using the fabric, Violet Baudelaire—the inventor—creates a makeshift rope to lasso the car's door handle from the inside. Working together under immense pressure, they manage to hook the door and pull it open just as the train's whistle screams in the distance. This is a brilliant moment where intellect and sibling teamwork defeat pure villainy.
