GAZA LIVE | Israel Airstrikes Hit Gaza, Hospital Attack Controversy Rages, Hamas Holds 203 Hostages

Dozens killed as Israeli air raids continue to target Gaza overnight, according to Palestinian and Arab media reports, as residents mourn the deadly strike at al-Ahli Arab Hospital. Israeli forces killed at least five Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society. Israeli air strikes on a hospital compound in the Gaza Strip killed at least 500 people, officials in the Hamas-run Palestinian territory, sparking widespread condemnation and fury. Israel, however, blamed a rocket misfired by militants in Gaza. Hamas has said over 200 people were being held hostage in Gaza, and that they would be released “when conditions are ripe”. The spokesperson for Hamas’s military wing, said the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam brigades had been holding 200 people captive since the Hamas raid on October 7.
