I took this walk around McCarran Airport in Las Vegas 5 weeks into the corona virus shutdown that took effect. I wanted to capture this moment in Las Vegas history and present it to the world to witness, too. Never before, and hopefully never again, will we see McCarran Airport without tourists, visitors and travelers.

McCarran airport bring over 40 million people to Las Vegas each year as well as 265 million pounds of cargo. On average there is a flight in or out of Las Vegas every 3 minutes and 4500 passengers per hour making it one of the busiest airports in the nation. Currently that number is 10 flights per day and 100 passengers!

I choose not to narrate this walking tour so that you can fully take in the situation as well as appreciate the still beauty of this now nearly deserted airport. The walk was also a bit somber and eerie without the usual hustle and bustle ... it was a lonely, haunting walk.
