We successfully treat premature ovarian exhaustion (early menopause) with the help of a woman’s own blood. High concentration of platelets is harvested from the blood and injected into each ovary under the control of an ultrasound. As a result of the injection, sleeping follicles awaken and ovulation occurs. Today it is the only alternative to using donor eggs.
In order to make an accurate injection into the ovary, it must be clearly visible on the ultrasound. Unfortunately, ideal, clearly distinguishable ovaries are not found in all patients. As a rule, these are women aged 30-40, suffering from concomitant gynecological diseases - inflammation of the appendages, endometriosis, fibroids, benign ovarian cysts, adhesions after previous surgery or IVF attempts. Some women have blocked fallopian tubes, polyps in the uterus or chronic endometritis. If we cannot accurately distinguish the ovary on the ultrasound, we cannot accurately perform an injection. Cysts, obstructed tubes or polyps of the uterus simply prevent getting pregnant, even if we successfully inject. Restoring the menstrual cycle and achieving ovulation is not enough. This is half the success. The main indicator is pregnancy. Therefore, our approach is to remove all obstacles during one operation.
