Panama Moves Toward Crypto Payments 🇵🇦

The Municipal Agreement No. 133 of May 29, 2025, approved by the Municipal Council of Panama, modifies Agreement No. 94 of April 15, 2025, in order to clarify and improve the implementation of municipal payment systems using cryptocurrencies.

This agreement authorizes the payment of municipal taxes, fees, services, fines, and other local obligations through cryptocurrencies.

The use of cryptocurrencies is optional and does not replace traditional payment methods.
