Marktoberdorf
The headquarters of the Fendt brand is in Marktoberdorf in Ostallgäu. The company premises are located on the land of the former farm of the Fendt family.
Asbach-Bäumenheim
The AGCO competence center for cabins in Europe is located in Asbach-Bäumenheim. The factory, formerly the machine factory Josef Dechentreiter, was acquired in 1970. In 2020, 1,169 employees manufactured cabs and body components for the Fendt, Massey Ferguson and Valtra brands at the site. Production at the site includes the areas of parts manufacturing, shell construction, painting and cabin assembly, including the installation of electronics and the driver's seat. The Fendt brand tractors are available in different versions. There are the Power, Profi- and ProfiPlus versions, which differ in their technical equipment and comfort features. Every Fendt tractor has had the continuously variable Vario transmission since 2009. The transmission is a hydrostatic-mechanical power split drive. With increased speed, the proportion of mechanical energy in the planetary gear increases. The planetary gear makes it possible to mix both hydrostatic, steplessly driven shafts and direct mechanical drives as required. The hydrostats, which can be swiveled by 45 degrees, and the operating pressure of up to 550 bar ensure high efficiency. The system coordinates the engine speed and the gearbox depending on the power requirement.
