LAVA ADVANCES to highway and takes more land in Nátthagi 🌋 06.06

Lava is advancing through Nátthagi valley, taking new territories. Filmed at 19:15 and 00:25 on June 5/6, 2021. We just returned from the 20th trip to the volcano with many exciting footages which I m going to share. The weather improved in the evening on June 5th and stopped to rain, that's why we decided to make a trip around 7 pm. It was worth it as always, despite beint very windy in the highlands. On the way back it started to rain however and we got all wet but no regrets of going. Lava breached western wall and runs down at great speed. There is a massive lava flow into Syðri Meradalur (valley above Natthagi) and lava is spreading over that valley in big hot lake. Geldingadalur is overflooded with lava to the edges.
