Vaxfacts: Molly makes reference to Roxy Music’s ‘Jealous Guy’, the number 1 song for that week, being exploited by lead singer Bryan Ferry. ‘Jealous Guy’ was written and performed by former Beatle John Lennon for his 1971 album ‘Imagine’. Following Lennon’s murder in December 1980, Roxy Music recorded and released their cover version of the song as a tribute (in February 1981), which achieved chart success around the world.
