The weather forecast across South Africa today is as follows:
The arrival of a cold front will bring morning showers and cooler temperatures to the south-western Cape Province, while scattered showers and thunderstorms are anticipated ahead of the front across the central interior and along the east coast. The South African Weather Service has issued a Yellow Level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms, which may bring heavy rain, lightning, hail, and strong winds to North West, Free State, the northeastern Northern Cape Province, and parts of KwaZulu-Natal Province, potentially causing localised flooding and damage to property and infrastructure. A Yellow Level 1 warning is also in place for damaging waves along the coast between Saldanha Bay and Cape Agulhas, creating challenging conditions for navigation. Additionally, hot and humid conditions are expected to cause significant discomfort in the northeastern areas of KwaZulu-Natal Province.
