A Rally for the Unborn that Predates Roe v Wade | EWTN Pro-Life Weekly

Oregon legalized abortion in 1969. One year later, pro-lifers held the state’s first March for Life in Portland, well before the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court ruling that led to the birth of the National March for Life in Washington, D.C. Speakers at Oregon’s 2026 rally for the unborn in Salem, Ore., included Archbishop Alexander Sample from the Archdiocese of Portland. The event also featured the gathering of more than 30,000 diapers for distribution at pregnancy centers across the state.
