Easy Breathing Exercise for POTS, EDS, Chronic Fatigue/Pain & GI Issues
https://parrpt.com/breathing-techniques-for-eds-to-improve-pots-and-chronic-fatigue/ Use this easy diaphragm breathing exercise for POTS, EDS, chronic fatigue, chronic neck & back pain as well as improved GI function.
Simple and effective diaphragm breathing exercises are easy to learn and will help you with a variety of complex conditions and chronic illnesses. There are numerous benefits of these diaphragmatic breathing techniques, which are especially useful for anyone who is suffering from: Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), neck pain or back pain, chronic fatigue & chronic pain in other areas of the body as well as GI function issues.
In this video, EDS & POTS expert Jonathan Parr PT (CSCS, EP, MCMT, CBIS) demonstrates the first steps you should take in this progressive breathing system:
1. Lie flat in a comfortable and relaxed position on your back.
2. Slowly inhale, inflating your stomach, for 3 to 4 seconds.
3. Exhale naturally, with a completely relaxed stomach.
Tips for success:
• Be sure to also keep your chest relaxed while breathing in, and concentrate on fully relaxing both chest and stomach when you exhale naturally.
• As you get started with this basic breathing exercise, you can place your hand on your stomach to ensure that you are “belly breathing” correctly.
