When SD card is not getting detected, there could be a number of issues that need to be carefully inspected. In our case today, the card did not look like it was bent, chips, Deepspar USB stabilizer could not finish initializing the device. This type of behavior is likely to take place when one or more memory chip starts to degrade. The memory is not dead, but it is not well. ECC on the controller level can only go so far. The advantage of tools that we use for data recovery on the memory card, is that we are not trying to access data in live mode. We read the content then try to clean up what was read as much as possible, and only then we proceed with the mix assembly. In this case, we demonstrate how data can be built directly from the memory chips using PC3000 and PS8210 translator. PS8210 controller is very complex, and without a translator, the best option would be a block number assembly which only brings around 60% success rate. Translator on the other hand will give perfect results as long as NAND chips had been properly corrected.
