Brexit deal: final day of Lords debate | House of Lords

From 3pm: @UKHouseofLords is debating the negotiated withdrawal agreement and framework for future relationship with the EU, the #BrexitDeal. Members have had their say over three days of debate in the chamber. As well as the government motion to take note of the agreement and framework, members are debating two connected motions.

First, Baroness Smith of Basildon, Lords Leader of the Opposition, has put down a motion that would reject a no deal outcome and regret the terms of the deal. If agreed, this would not stop the deal but would put on record the House of Lords’ opinion.

Second, Lord Butler of Brockwell has put down a motion that would change Baroness Smith’s: it would reject a no deal outcome but would not regret the terms of the deal. Again, if agreed, this would not stop the deal but would put on record the House of Lords’ opinion.
