Own it – A WWF film about how our savings impact the climate

You save your money for a better future. Or is it for the worse? Too much of our saved capital currently ends up in the fossil fuel industry and high emitters for us to have a chance to stay below 2 degrees global warming, and get a sustainable, safe return on investment in the long run.

You can help to prevent this! Share this video. Contact those who manage your bank accounts, savings, funds, insurance and pension. Let’s put some pressure on them to make green investments, ask them to give you accurate information on where your money goes. They say there is no demand for sustainable alternatives: We think they are wrong.

The clip says "The Swedes’ savings alone, invested in energyrelated companies all over the world, emit the same amount of carbon dioxide as Sweden does as an entire country each year." This is based on a PWC estimation of annual emissions steming from Swedish investments on the World's stock markets.
