What You’ll Learn:
1. Constructor Parameter Properties:
* Declare and initialize properties directly in the constructor signature to eliminate boilerplate.
* Compare this shorthand to the traditional two-step definition + assignment approach.
2. Access Modifiers & readonly:
* Understand public (default) and private.
* Use readonly to create immutable properties that can only be set once, ensuring data integrity.
3. Getters & Setters:
* Define get and set accessors to control read/write access to class properties.
* Learn practical benefits:
* Validation & Side-Effects: Validate or transform data before assignment.
* Encapsulation: Keep internal representation hidden while exposing a clean API.
* Lazy Computation: Compute values on-demand without storing extra fields.
4. Looping with while:
* Build a simple while loop to print numbers 1 through 10.
* Examine initialization, condition checking, iteration, and best practices to avoid infinite loops.
By the end of this session, you’ll be writing cleaner, safer classes with full control over property access, and confidently iterating with while loops. Let’s jump in and level up your TypeScript skills!
