Indonesia 2018 Road Trip to Jakarta , Yogyakarta, Bali & Gili Islands

Three weeks is just too short to explore the beautiful country of Indonesia. I will be definitely visiting again and out of all the cities I visited Bali is my favorite.

I'm sure it will be yours too if you do plan on visiting because there is so much to see and do there. Gili Islands is more of a party and chilled location but it's too small and crowded. There is many water sports and activities there but it is very limited.

I traveled first to Jakarta, the main metropolitan/ capital of Indonesia. Here I spent 4 nights but I suggest to only spend 2 nights. There are not much to see besides the some little museums, the Dutch official government building and some amusement parks. The street food is definitely I must try !!! Hmmm so delicious.

Next I travelled to Yogyakarta, by train it takes approx 9-10 hours so be prepare for a long journey and an entire day spent on traveling. I suggest to travel via Gambir train station from Jakarta.
In Yogyakarta, you can visit the Prambanan temple and the Borobudur temple, but there are more you can visit if you are interested. These are the two main point of interests. At night the town comes alive so it a nice experience to see. I suggest to spend 2 nights in Yogyakarta.

Also if you are in Yogyakarta, you can visit the bromo and ijen volcano. I did and I will be showing you guys my amazing experience in another video. Likewise, you will need atleast 2-3 days to see it all.

From Yogyakarta, you can take a ferry to Denpasar, Bali. The ferry ride takes about 1,30 hours depending on the speed of course. In bali there are so much to see and do! From food, to natural waterfalls, party life and experiencing the religion on hindu. The hotels are also nice and speaking of this, I also have another video of hotels I recommend going. To have a full experience of Bali, you will need more than a week so about 3 weeks is good enough.

From Bali, you can take a ferry to Gili Islands Gili T. Gili T is the main spot, location where everyone goes! So it will be packed and crowded. In Gili T you can visit Gili meno and Gili Air.
