THE FOUNDLINGS: Chapter One "Raise the Dead" | A Sims VO Series (SUB ENGLISH).

Hey everyone!

I can't believe I am ~actually~ typing the description of The Foundlings pilot, but here we are! We made it! Who woulda thought? Not me.

When I say I can't believe it, I mean it -- I honestly didn't think I'd see the day where I'd actually published this. Getting to this point has been emotionally and physically exhausting.
In the 3-4 years since I announced the cast for this series, I have been through SO many setbacks. Some were personal (university demands, my dog passing), most were technical (laptop malfunctioning, losing contact with VAs and having to recast. but mainly: corrupt medieval CC taking down TWO of The Foundlings downloads folders, which I had to then start from scratch. TWICE). But we've made it.

I don't know if the quality you see before you today is worth the 4 year wait (one year, maybe...), but I'm still proud to finally reach a point where I can proudly share it with you. Thank you for your trust and your patience.

𝗗𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗢𝗥'𝗦 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗠𝗘𝗥
This episode was filmed last year (the filming wrapped on May 2021). There are a couple of things I wish I could change

1- The nudity: When I first announced The Foundlings I wanted it to be far more "mature" than The Rivers, and that included free-ing the n*pple. Lol. But since May 2021, fellow simmers have had their channels terminated for nudity and sex themes. So I've opted to blur out any nudity for the sake of Youtube maybe, hopefully, sparing me. If not, it was nice knowing you, Latibule/applejuiceyummy... PLEASE YOUTUBE DO NOT TAKE DOWN MY CHANNEL, IT JUST BECAME A TEENAGER

2- The GREENSCREEN! Don't get me wrong, I love the use of greenscreen in series. The few times I have used it in the past have been seamless (for the most part?). Most times people don't even notice me using it. This is not the case with THIS episode. So many greenscreen moments are way too obvious, and my main defense there is that it looked WAY(!) more seamless before rendering. But what're you gonna do?
-- Refilm! You might suggest. But it's a miracle I'm getting this out. There's no way I'm going to spend so much time re-filming, especially when it's for aesthetics' sake. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Don't get me wrong, I want my chapter to look good. And I do think it looks good, outside the greenscreen mishaps. But I'm a storyteller first and foremost, so if the filming or the editing looks a bit wonky in certain parts, that's unfortunate, but it's not something I'm prioritizing while I juggle two projects & a personal life.

I don't know when you can expect the second chapter of The Foundlings, I just know you shouldn't expect it anytime soon. Unlike The Rivers, this series will NOT be uploaded bimonthly, as it won't be prefilmed. Instead, I'm going to drop every chapter when I finish them, just like every other director in the community. The filming for The Foundlings chapter 2 HAS started, but it'll be some time before I finish it. I'm also currently filming The Rivers, since that returns in December 2022, but will be working on The Foundlings sporadically this year and the next. At least, that's the plan.
