Will it ever run again? 1966 Thunderbird barn find gets engine work and cooling upgrades!
On the last video, the car started to run hotter than it should (per the gauge), but the engine didn't seem that warm. But since I've seen enough Roadkill episodes to know that the cooling system always takes down the cars, we decided to change the water pump, have the radiator reconditioned, and do some A/C upgrades.
But like most projects, they snowball and next thing you know the car is torn down even more. At this point, we decided to change the timing chain (since we're so close).
In the end, it was the right decision and now we don't have to worry about it.
Thanks again to Matt's Radiator in Colorado Springs, CO for the work on the radiator. Make sure you check them out at www.mattsradiator.com
