Wild Common Crane "Grus grus"

From 2010 to 2015 The Great Crane Project has been reintroducing these majestic wetland birds to the Somerset Moors and Levels. The birds venture out across the South West and several have made Slimbridge their home. The oldest are now physically mature enough to breed. this is Bart and Ruby with their chick at slimbridge 9th july 2017.
