Earthship Tour of Picuris in Taos, NM

We visited Taos, New Mexico with our friends Craig and Nicki. and stayed in the Picuris model Earthship.

Definition of Earthship according to Wikipedia: An Earthship is a brand of passive solar earth shelter that is made of both natural and upcycled materials such as earth-packed tires, pioneered by architect Michael Reynolds. ... Energy: Thermal and/or solar heating and cooling, solar and wind electricity.

Our plan is to build a home using strawbale. However, we plan on incorporating some of the ideas of the earthship design.
