📚 Description:
For the 2020 Winter NAMM Show, Gibson revived Epiphone by doing two major things. First off, the decision was made to revive the old Kalamazoo-Styled Headstock. This brought the return of a more traditional open-book headstock to replace the old "clipped ears" style that epiphone has been using for over 30 years. While this one might not be perfect either in everyone's eyes, it definitely takes epiphone back to its own historical roots and gave something for us to talk about at NAMM.

Secondly, Epiphone mirrored Gibson's decision to offer an Original and Modern collection to make it easier for buyers to find the product that they want (prioritize vintage looks or modern playability.) These new models are planned to always be available but with slight color/specs changes throughout the years.

This particular instrument is part of the Original Collection of SGs. Other models within this series include the SG Special with P90 pickups, the SG Standard with batwing pickguard, the SG Standard '61 which comes with an additional option of having the Maestro Vibrola for an additional $100, and the most expensive on from the bunch is the Epiphone SG Custom at $579. None of these guitars come with cases or Gig Bags, they will have to be purchased separately.
